That’s a good question. In my experience with Book Clubs, and I have had least three, I have never thought twice about my book, its storyline, a character, etc. Not to say I didn’t take some of the comments or thoughts to heart, but I did not question my work. I can see how you might, though. The dynamic has been — if they invite you to their book club it’s not because they hated the book, but usually otherwise.

On the Jack Kerouac Project… I was the writer-in-residence at Jack’s house in Florida for a three month period. One of the coolest experiences of my writing life. Here’s a link: https://www.kerouacproject.org/
