I run a small press outside Chicago. I"m a bit at a loss why "format" is the first thing looked at. Content second. Format can be adjusted. Content is another matter. Isn't WHAT people have to say more important? Not being combative, but that would be like me dismissing someone's work because they didn't double-space. I prefer double-space, but if the writing is strong, style good, and the content compelling... ?
