Fredric, thanks for reading. Regarding nonfiction—I’m not sure about traditional nonfiction: history etc. But I do know that memoir is very hard to publish and sell. And when I say memoir, I don’t mean the autobiographical stories of the famous, I mean the more subtle memoir of discovery. I have read some of the most beautiful work in this genre, but it rarely sells well. Then again, should that really the goal? If you want to get rich, don’t write. Write stories because you love to do it. Share them the best way you know how. That would be my advice to any writer of any genre.
